Please be aware that he is a complete bastard. Endlessly charming and playful, he is very flexible as a person, willing to play as a pawn as long as he achieves his agenda. Has very fluid, unconventional thoughts of control and domination: the greatest power you can have is to give it to someone else. He is also not a *~sad little boy~* in need of genuine affection from people. The only need he has from their affection is how to make use to it to further his own agendas. That is all. There is no magic power of the vagina/dick that will make him immediately become your sweet, thoughtful boyfriend.

If he is your sweet, thoughtful boyfriend, you should probably run screaming, because he has terrible, terrible things in store for you. In fact, the last time he was sweet and thoughtful, he ended up manipulating/controlling a certain mafioso. That, and slaughtering an entire mafia family in cold blood(again).

However, this is not to say that he is invincible or whatever the hell else. He can be manipulated, he can be used and subjected, and he's more than willing to play along when the mood suits him. Bear in mind, too, that this man sacrificed himself in order to let his two friends escape during a jailbreak from the Vendicare. He is the man who also saved a young girl named Nagi (now named Chrome Dokuro, the name being an anagram of Mukuro's name), from certain death and had, on more than a few occasions, delivered her from trouble. He had also sacrificed himself once more, allying himself with the mafia family he most loathed in order to ensure safe passage for his two friends -- Ken and Chikusa.

Yes, he has a measure of goodness buried deep, deep inside, but make no mistake -- he is not a woobie. He's fully able to slit your throat with a spring in his step and a song in his heart if you so much as cross him.

Unlike his cuter female counterpart, Chrome, this man has absolutely no remorse, and he remains, as always, an enigma.

PERSONAL PREFERENCES

☠ Romance :: yes, but only with selected people. See below for more information.
☠ Chemistry/Sexual attraction :: very much a yes. Mukuro is a sensual creature, and while he doesn't bother do it often, he takes an interest in people intelligent, smart enough to capture his attention. Personally, I'd love it if I have a writing partner who can spark off the chemistry. Mukuro doesn't do well against characters who just lie back and expect him to do everything.
☠ Gender Preference :: Both will do, as long as they're interesting.
☠ Backtagging/backdating :: By all means, yes! I have work and life, so that is very much appreciated ;_;
☠ Writing partners :: No one liners or half-assed players. Players with good grasp of English, and ability to run with scenes/creativity appreciated. Am more used to action tags than prose, but can do both without a problem.
☠ CR :: While Mukuro is a good person to ping against almost every type of character imaginable, he plays best against intelligent, scheming bastards who are secretly like him. Also, of course -- that person has to not be an easy conquest, whatever it is. Stand up to him, or even defeat him, and you'll have his full attention. He likes his playmates to have a strong sort of character and be able to engage him, being someone who loves mind games so very much. He's also not stingy with praise for people with impressive skills, so go nuts. Am open to doing eventual romance with people who intrigue him enough.


ROMANCE

Mukuro has issues. A lot of issues that no non-professional should even start to diagnose, but the thing is that he's happy enough with them, and sees no need to change it. He is an asshole who thinks nothing of breaking hearts and using people as toys, to play with and discard at will. But somehow, somewhere deep inside, there is the barest glimmer of goodness in him.

It's there, it's just covered by all the lies and all the contradictions that he chooses to camouflage himself with. With that said, romance with Mukuro is not impossible, it just takes one hell of a lot of CR and patience. While Mukuro knows perfectly well how to nurture and manipulate the feelings of others, he is an emotional hermit and a retard, and he likes that that way, because that's how it's always been.

He's ambiguous in everything he does -- but his actions are the only things one can trust; not his words. He may tell you that you mean absolutely nothing to him, being a silly creature with no survival skills whatsoever; but if he chooses to save you, time and time again, there is something there. It's just vague, unmentioned, and hidden by the fact that he probably would choose to be a bigger asshole to you than usual. It is possible for him to like someone; entirely possible for people to reach him, but it is going to take a lot of effort, a lot of perseverance, and a lot of patience.

Why?

Because Mukuro reacts badly to people who get unexpectedly closer to him than he realizes. Think of the little boy in school that punches a girl he likes in the arm before running back to his friends. Sooooomething like that. He's emotionally fucked -- so he instinctively lashes out and hurts the people who get close to him (whom he cares about) in a bid to keep them at a distance. And this time, it's personal; there's a marked difference in the way he treats other toys and the person he finds himself romantically entangled with.

At least, initially. If you get past this weird, mild-wide defense mechanism, then it's an entirely new ballgame.

He is not a good boyfriend. There are many broken promises, many times when he will choose to act out, to alienate and hurt because he doesn't know how -- and doesn't see why he should -- go about creating romance. There will be plenty of bittersweet moments, times when he will just leave. He will break your heart, time and time again (and sometimes, he will probably not even mean to do that) in a bid to chase you away, but there are time when he will respond. Rare, but there it is.

When Mukuro sheds that smooth-talking exterior, when he starts to tell you odd, misplaced things -- that's when you know you're probably getting closer to him. Personally, I'd love to play out the development of this with someone, just to see where it'd go, and the sheer dysfunctionality of it. He's not your normal guy next door -- he's one of the most dangerous, murderous mafia criminals turned unwilling good-guy.

Reborn sums it up perfectly: Because Mukuro lives, Chrome survives. Because Chrome survives, Mukuro lives. Both are one and the other, inexplicably intertwined. Mukuro seems to care for her the most, even if he does call her a silly little girl when she passes out in his arms. And no matter what he says about her-- don't fuck with Chrome if you don't want Mukuro to come along and fuck your shit up in the worst, most nightmarish way possible, because he will. He is possessive of her, and he has never taken kindly to anyone who so much as bullies her.

» Fran -> Disciple. Gifted and talented in the way of illusions beyond all measure, which is only befitting of Rokudo Mukuro's pupil. Mukuro tends to display violently sadistic traits whenever it comes to Fran mouthing off, but when it comes down to it, he has very high, stringent expectations of Fran. He is very much aware of what Fran can do and is capable of, and in his own way helps to cultivate it.

HABITS/QUIRKS

☠ Mukuro is vegetarian. Well, mostly. Not out of any religion or any personal beliefs; but he did spend ten years in a goddamn fishtank and weaned on a liquid diet. Having just emerged of it, his digestive system can currently only manage fruit, nuts, vegetables and the very occasional dairy/wheat product. White meats, from time to time, but he doesn't tend to eat a lot as it is.

☠ He doesn't like to sleep. Plagued by dreams/memories/nightmares, Mukuro doesn't sleep unless absolutely necessary.

☠ He's also oddly poetic and very well read, worldly in every sense -- invite him into your home, and the first place he drifts to will be your library.
